This is the regional art museum as well as the exhibition gallery of Haugesund Art Society.  The building with magazines, exhibition rooms and gallery shop is situated close the Town Park, in the northern part of the town. The museum owns a large and representative collection of 1900 Norwegian art. Through generous funds and legacies the collection is expanding, and new pieces of art are incorporated in the collection where national as well as local artist are represented. The whole collection has been made available through a web exhibition. Annually the Art Society presents 12 - 15 sale exhibitions. By these exhibitions, as well as lotteries, lectures and other activities the Art Society  tries to increase the knowledge about and create an interest in pictorial art.
