Bokn Local Museum
Like Nedstrand, Bokn Local Museum too exhibits its collections in an old Youth House. The house, situated at Håland has been somewhat rebuilt, but still reflects much of the history of the Youth and Teetotalism Movements which used the buildings from 1908. Kitchen, parlour and sleeping room, a shoemaker’s work shop, school room, fishery and agriculture departments reflect life at Bokn in early 1900s. The museum is also in charge of a “kårhus” ( a small house on a farm built for the retiring owner) a “røykstove” ( a house with an open fireplace and no chimney) and a rural mill at Laupland.
